Mail this postBonding: The Secret To Happiness
September 24, 2009 by Masami Sato

What is the reason for our remaining alive? For what have we come here? Day after day we are being asked about the sense and purpose of our lives. And many of us keep on searching for answers. Will we be able to achieve happiness? That is also a question that forces us every day to find out its answer. What happens if the answer to those queries is quite uncomplicated? What if it is all about ONE thing? Bonding. The secret of happiness is explained perfectly in the stimulating voice of Masami Sato in the excerpt of her book, ONE.
What are we searching for?
There are so many things that we carry out in our lives.
But have we ever thought about why we do what we do? What are we really looking for?
The world is a confluence of millions of people of all continents, races, religions, and ideologies, doing different things. They look different and also act in different ways. All of us have different interests and each have a different viewpoint. We converse differently using different languages. We have different emotions and desires.
Nevertheless, if there was ONE thing that ALL of us are searching for, what could that be?
While I journeyed all over the world, I asked people a seemingly straightforward question, “What would you like to achieve in your life? What do you really want?”
In the beginning it appeared that different people were looking for different things. People said different things like “A house of my own”, “A good job”, “A perfect partner”, “A soul mate”, “A little more money”, “An affectionate family”, “Freedom”, “Peace of mind”, “A purpose to life” etc. There were many answers of this type.
I did notice that some of these requirements were of a more earthly nature while others were of a permanent nature. Earthly desires are those that we want because we do not yet have it, or think that we do not yet have it. As against this, permanent desires are not about getting things we do not have. It is about a ‘feeling’ that we yearn for, so that it does not come to an end, whatever we get or accomplish at every moment or our lives.
If one could just remove all earthly desires from our list and look at only permanent desires, it would be obvious that we just want to continue feeling positive sensations like excitement, happiness, inspiration, motivation, munificence, affection, joy etc. – put in other words, we want to continue being happy.
Delightfulness
Delightfulness is a state of emotion that every one us are longing to experience. Every one of us may define it in a different way. We may even evaluate it differently. We may sense it at varied levels of intensity. But without doubt, we have something in general when delightfulness comes to us. And when we understand this secret about delightfulness, we hold the knowledge to become more delighted, and to make others around us too feel the same sensations.
The life that we are living is a mystery. We all may love it in one way or another. We may also disapprove of it in different ways. We may ask questions about it. We may value it immensely. Or we may just have it, in a nonchalant manner. But what exactly is the purpose of our life? What if the very truth of our existence is about to be revealed? What if this truth really brings us happiness and satisfaction when we discover it?
What if the truth of our life’s purpose, and of its happiness, is as simple as this:
It is all about connection.
Connection is everything
Everything is about making relationships. Everything is part of something else. Just a look at our own lives would reveal it to us. Then we will understand the real purpose of our lives.
Why do we do something, ANYTHING at all, in life as human beings?
It is mainly because we want to bond more and more. We make fiends to feel bonded. We get married for bonding with another person in a firm and lasting manner. We raise a family to feel even more bonded. We go out and meet people to bond well with them, not only for getting advantages out of that bonding, but also to feel more bound to the world.
We buy good clothes or go to a hairdressing saloon for a better relationship with our aesthetical sense and to our own physical appearance. We eat all types of food to feel more connected to the sense of taste and flavour. We eat out to feel the relationship to the people we dine with. We get mobile phones and computers to weave relationships with others and the world. We read magazines and newspapers to remain in touch with whatever is going on and what others are doing and experiencing. We educate ourselves to keep in touch with what others know and value.
Every single thing we do is to satisfy the need for connection. If we’re not connected to our own body, we don’t even have to eat and sleep. Our connection to all our senses tells us to do something to satisfy the demand of the body. We feel pain and discomfort if we ignore the signals of our own body. And beyond our basic needs, we seek a greater sense of connection – connection to our existence – connection to our purpose. And without that connection, it’s empty. Just like the emptiness many of us feel inside when we’re not even connected to ourselves. That simply cannot be the natural way we’re designed to live our lives.
Relationship is powerful, and yet it’s fragile and tender..
When we cannot feel the intimacy in a relationship, we opt for separation, divorce, quarrels, judgement, and disapproval. It never feels good to lose the intimacy in a relationship. Nevertheless, it is possible to fall in love with someone one day and fall out of love with the same person the next day. The feeling can alter just by a flick of a finger. And the flick might be by your finger or theirs!
When the bonds are not there
When the relationship is not there, we start seeing problems. We start seeing differences and hindrances. We start sitting upon judgement of others and disapproving them. We exaggerate, concentrate upon, and give energy to such things that we see as problems. Under such a scenario, these problems might turn inwards and inflict pain and disapproval on ourselves. We cannot be fully happy when we have no associations with anything.
Relationship: the Secret to Happiness
What if we choose to perceive the entire thing in reverse? When we do that we understand this simple truth: we cannot feel despondent when we are in a strong relationship. It is simply not possible!
Try to feel moody when we feel the security of our bonding to the people around us and laughing and enjoying with our whole heart. Even if we have our own fair share of difficulties in life, we would still be able to break into a laugh and enjoy and feel good when the bonds are strong. At the same time, we would be unable to enjoy things when those bonds are absent.
Relationship: Our Life .
Relationship is the core of everything. That is what life is. Relationship.
Everything is a unified whole of smaller units. Everything combines together to form a bigger unit; the way our bodies are a fusion of smaller entities like atoms, molecules, cells and organs.
Our actions and choices also express the need for connection. We are designed to constantly seek ways to connect to each other and to a greater purpose.
Connection and Religion
Some of us choose to be part of different religions to feel more connected. The connection they seek could be to God. It could be to the people with the same belief. When we share the same belief, it creates a stronger sense of bonding within that group of people. More giving happens naturally among people who are feeling connected to each other.
Connection and Business
Many people begin an enterprise to feel better bonded to themselves by being in control of their fate. But often in the entrepreneurial world, we end up being more and more segregated especially when we start viewing other ventures as contenders, staff as instruments and customers as a money flow. But the basic point of why we got into the venture was to feel the power of that bonding. So, why do we need to fashion that disconnection at all? May be in the perfect world, all business ventures worked differently, but hand in hand.
Bonding and Wars
Some of us even create arguments or wars to experience some sense of ‘victory’ or supposedly a greater sense of security and significance. But ironically, this rebounds. The moment we ‘win’ the battle, we are actually more disconnected from others. We now need more security to protect ourselves from being attacked by others. We somehow end up being more insecure and afraid. We can’t laugh at this because it actually happens to almost every one of us in different ways.
It could be the disagreements we have with the people around us. It may be the wrong assessment we make when we feel that something or someone is not right. When we make an attempt to be the only one to succeed, we can never succeed in the real way – we feel not connected. We can really enjoy the success when we succeed along with others. Then we will feel the strength of the relationship.
No matter how differently we express our needs, everything we do is to fulfil the mere desire we have to feel and be connected.
The full sense of a bonding is realized only through our heart. We can bond with anybody when we are truly concerned about them and feeling that bond with them. If we are conscious of this, giving life to that required state of mind is really easy, uncomplicated and a pleasure. Then we would actually feel more delight and joy.
Life is just like a game. We experience things and do things in a game but fundamentally, the aim of any game is to enjoy. It is not about doing things or having things. When the game finally ends, the winners are only the ones who enjoyed the game. Not the ones who had more at the end. The results and outcomes of a game we play don’t affect our true life. But if we lost all our friends to play with during a game just because we wanted to be the winner in this round, would it lead us to the real winning game?
It is easy to comprehend this when compared to acting in a play, but we often fail to understand it while enacting the play of life. We do not remember that life is also a play.
We have no idea when this game began and when it would be over, all that we know is that it commenced in the past and that it will be over one day. When finally the umpire blows the whistle to stop the game, we can simply say, “Wow, it was a lot of fun. Let us play once again!”
In this play called life, the aim of the play is to ‘bond.’ We can keep bonding until we all merge to become one. It is the one way to perpetually feel bonded to our rationale – the feeling of joy and pleasure. We cannot afford to have the bonds to anything weakened or reject and decide even one thing if we are to reach the state of complete bonding.
Life is as simple as that. There is just ONE secret.
And the secret is to bond.
To become ONE.
To find pleasure.
Mail this postVanity Numbers – Go Vain and Get Gain

From the term itself, vanity numbers are tremendously egotist numbers that offer praise and glory to the ones who own them. What better joy to a human being than the very sight and sound of his own name? If you have a 1-800-YOURNAME – looking number, you’ll never have to revive a friend’s phone directory ever for the reason that she’ll keep in mind your number the moment she remembers you.
If you lost that FedEx number your anger management class-dropout mom wanted you to call for an all-too-important question, you could spell out FEDEX after a 1-800 and put aside yourself a whole day’s worth of yakety-yak (for your clumsiness). Now maybe vanity numbers ain’t all vanity after all. Maybe they’re more than meet the eye. Maybe they could save your life. For one, vanity numbers make luck of dissimilarity in business profits. If you sell anything, why not make it work for you?
Businessmen bank on toll free numbers’ well-known brand recall element that causes dramatic highs in advertising response rates and fortunes after that. When you have a toll free vanity number, people don’t need to remember more than the four digits and then they just remember your name. Which works two ways, by the way, since not only have you just made a sale or a prospect for a sale with every person that dials your vanity number? You’re also likely to have made a subliminal imprint on them each time they think about you or your business each time they want to call your vanity number.
Now you say, enough, fine, I want a vanity phone number. In that case, you’ll have to be calling an 800 phone service. But if you don’t want to pay someone for something you could do yourself, you can check if the vanity number you want is obtainable simply by dialing it. If it rings, it’s out. Maybe use a variant of that first choice or add individuality to it to cut the odds of somebody already owning that number. If you’ve finally nailed the right and available one, draft a plan on how getting this customized number should work for you.
After all, you can never underestimate the power of getting the right toll free number. Even multinational companies make mistakes especially when times are not helping. Remember, a poorly chosen toll free number choice can throw away time, money and opportunity. If you’re just starting your business or trying to prop one in rough times, your marketing strategy should make all the difference.
That’s why a good toll free number that maximizes that strategy will give your support that welcome boost, apart from allow you to better serve your existing clients.

The Atlanta Falcons are off to a fast start this season, and on Sunday used a potent offensive attack to top the Carolina Panthers 28-20 at the Georgia Dome. QB Matt Ryan threw a career high three touchdown passes, including one to his new favorite receiver Tony Gonzalez. Beleaguered Carolina QB Jake Delhomme threw another interception for ten in his previous three games (including last years playoff loss to Arizona) but was otherwise much more effective passing for 308 yards and a touchdown.
NFL football betting devotees who invested in the Falcons as -6 home favorites were rewarded with the pointspread cover. The Falcons have won and covered both games this season for a 2-0 record both straight up and against the spread. The Panthers, meanwhile, have dropped both of their 2009 contests straight up and to the number. The 48 combined points scored went OVER the posted total of 42. Carolina has now gone OVER in both of their 2009 NFL games, while Atlanta evened their O/U record at 1-1.
The offseason acquisition of Gonzalez has worked to a benefit of both so far. In his first two games in a Falcons uniform the future Hall of Famer has 12 catches for 144 yards and two touchdowns. Gonzalez wanted out of Kansas City to play for a contender, and hes found just that on a talented young Falcons team.
Afterwards, Gonzalez admitted that he was happy with how things have transpired thus far:
“Not a bad start at all. It’s just great to be part of a team like this.”
Gonzalezs biggest fan may be the guy charged with getting him the ball on Sundays. Quarterback Matt Ryan was full of compliments for his tight end in his postgame comments:
“He’s one of the greatest tight ends of all time. That was a huge pickup for us. He makes big plays for us in different situations when we need him. I’ve enjoyed playing with him thus far.”
Despite the loss, Carolinas Jake Delhomme was relieved to put the horrible performance of the opening week behind him. This week only he gave up one interception during a late game rally attempt:
“It couldn’t be any worse than last week. I felt good out there today. Last week, I put too much pressure on myself. This week, I got back to being just plain Jake.”
The Panthers will head to Dallas for a game against the Cowboys next Monday night. Carolina is a +9 road underdog in that contest with the total set at 46. Atlanta has a pair of tough road games on the docket, beginning this weekend against the New England Patriots at Foxboro, Massachusetts. The Falcons have been installed as +4 road underdogs with the total set at 44.
Mail this postWhat Does “Pharmaceutical Grade Fish Oil” Mean?
September 24, 2009 by Peter Bertonach

So you’ve decided that there is sufficient evidence about the health benefits of Omega 3 fish oil and that it’s time to start taking fishoil capsules. You’ve been researching Omega 3 on the Web and you keep coming across the term “pharmaceutical grade fish oil” or “pharmaceutical grade Omega 3″.
Lets have a look at exactly what “pharmaceutical grade” means or doesn’t mean.
Pharmaceutical grade is a marketing term. It is used by companies that manufacture or sell fishoil supplements to suggest to the buyer that their supplements contain clean pure fishoil.
There are very good reasons for the Omega 3 supplement manufacturers to advertise the purity of their fish oil. Fish and fish oil can be contaminated with Mercury and PCBs and the FDA tells us not to eat too much this reason.
Because of this contamination of fish and fish oil many people are reasonably concerned that any supplements may be similarly contaminated. So manufacturers of Omega 3 capsules used the term “pharmaceutical grade Omega 3″ to suggest that their fish oil is totally pure.
But “pharmaceutical grade fish oil capsules” are undefined. The US Pharmacopeia does not offer any definition of what “pharmaceutical grade” fish oil means.
In fact there are no binding standards governing the purity and cleanliness of Omega 3 supplements. I said no “binding” standards because there are in fact the number of international standards on fishoil purity however none of them are binding on any companies that manufacture Omega 3 supplements.
There is one called the International Fish Oil Standards (IFOS). Whilst this sounds very official it is in fact a private organisation that exists to charge a fee for testing of fishoils.
Whilst there are 4 international standards for fish oil purity no manufacture need comply with any of them. Some manufacturers who submit their fish oil to the IFOS for testing make the claim that their Omega 3 supplements are “pharmaceutical grade Omega3″ however as specified earlier this is purely marketing.
However there is the no doubt that anyone looking to take Omega 3 supplements should make careful investigation of purity and cleanliness of any capsules.
If you’re looking to buy any particular brand of Omega 3 supplements you should be able to see on the website a certificate of analysis from an independent laboratory evidencing the results of purity tests.
If you visit the website of the manufacturer of the very best fish oil supplements you can see a certificate of analysis done by 2 independent laboratories that demonstrates quite clearly 0 levels of contaminants in the fish oil.
This company chooses to set it’s own independent standards and it’s standard for Mercury contamination, for example, is 10 times lower than all four international standards.
You’re quite right to worry about fish oil purity but don’t be fooled by any claims about “pharmaceutical grade fish oil supplements”. It’s a marketing term. Always satisfy yourself about the purity of your Omega 3 fish oil capsules with independent evidence from laboratory analysis.
Visit my website if you’re interested to source the worlds cleanest, purest (and best value) Omega 3 fish oil supplements as evidenced by independent laboratory analysis.

Your iPod Nano 8GB will be protected from the elements and last longer if you immediately invest in an iPod Nano case. iPod nano cases also protect the color screen and the click wheel. Most of the cases in the market have a built in cover that you can flip up to cover the front screen.

The silicon material of these iPod nano cases ensures that your iPod Nano 8GB is free from dust and stays inside the case even if you shop your way around the mall. A case made out of silicon will provide a good grip, lessening the chance that you could drop your iPod.
Be prepared to shell out more cash for a silicon iPod Nano case than you would for the hard plastic version, as quality comes with a price tag to match in most cases. Priced for as low as $2, these hard plastic cases could also protect your iPod Nano 8GB from dirt and scratches.
These cases could do the job of silicon iPod nano cases less the price.Without spending a lot of money, you can get a basic, hard plastic iPod Nano case that will protect your iPod Nano 8GB while offering you various color and carry options, such as a lanyard or belt clip.
Of course, there are disadvantages of opting for the less costly, hard plastic iPod Nano case as you will forego the non-slip material that silicon offers. Be sure and choose an iPod Nano case that wont break or shatter when accidentally dropped.
If you think black and ultra white are elegant, you should check in e-stores where a collection of Italian leather iPod nano cases are showcased. Mail this postIs Healthy Weight Loss Possible?
September 24, 2009 by Erica Stone
One way to lose a few pounds, or so a number of people think, is by not eating and although this is a way to lose a few unwanted pounds, it can have repercussions if carried out for extended periods and no doctor or dietician would ever recommend doing this. Weight loss like this is not healthy as we all require specific vitamins and nutrients in our food to maintain our health.
By healthy weight loss we understand the use of a diet that brings all the nutrients the body needs, with a minimum caloric intake. It is also important to have a good night sleep in addition to daily activities that ensure additional calories from the fat deposits most of us have, are burned off.
Many women’s periodicals which tend to promote all the latest diets which are often based around eating a particular food or food group claiming to be a method of healthy weight loss. A particular ‘restrictive’ healthy diet that was favored for a while was the chicken, boiled vegetables, fruit and salad one that did not by any means supply all the daily nutrients our bodies need even though all of the foods were actually healthy.
The vast majority of people eating a diet that is made up of these food groups may lose weight and feel a little better but will ultimately fail in their healthy weight loss as they become incredibly bored by the same food every day. We all need to vary what we eat but if we avoid foods that are very high in calories (unless you are an athlete or have a highly physical job) and improve your daily activities plus have a regular sleep you will be most of the way to losing weight healthily.
Always remember your doctor will ask you if you are sleeping well and will ask an overweight person if they snack in the middle of the night as while this is common, many do not remember. Many overweight people also suffer from stress which physical activity is known to eliminate and by eating healthily, calories will be lost but all this will go to waste if you are getting up in the night to eat.
You do not have to follow a health weight loss program for very long before your body will start noticing the difference with increased energy levels, better sleep and feeling healthier which also means you will be less prone to illness. Another aspect of a healthy weight loss diet is personal involvement and self-impression on the undergoing transformation so for instance; being too critical and demanding with yourself could sometimes do more bad than good. You can’t ask miracles from your body because it responds in a certain rhythm to physical stimuli and overweight people who desperately want to lose weight often have the tendency to work themselves out in tiresome physical exercises. Why not build up your stamina and fitness level a little by carrying out some everyday activities first like walking or swimming for example. You should never forget that your body has its limitations and mobility comes in time.
