Many people struggle with the need to lose weight, but just don’t feel able to get there on their own. There’s now an option, right in the San Jose area, called the San Jose boot camp class. You might be concerned about the images conjured at the idea of a boot camp, but let these go. Here, you’ll be having fun and meeting people as you work hard, but not so hard that you feel overwhelmed.
The boot camp offers an experience designed specifically towards a woman’s needs. You might have held back from some possibilities in the past, thinking they were intended for people much more fit than you. Yet the program is meant for beginners just as much as experts looking for something new. You’ll work on a regular basis, pushing yourself a bit further – but never too far – each time.
The camp costs $325 for a four-week session, meeting for an hour each day five days a week at 5:30 or 9:30 AM. This might sound early, but it means you can get in shape every day before having to go to work and that it will fit easily into your schedule. The price is very low for what you get, and will all be worth it when you see what your body has to gain.
In just those four weeks, many people lose between five and twelve pounds, but this is only the beginning. You can lose one to three inches in your midsection while improving your endurance by twenty-five percent and reducing your overall body fat by three to five percent. You’ll even make your posture better and will find yourself more able to relax.
Your group will work with a fitness trainer who has a lot of experience in the field. They know what it takes to get you where you want to be and they’ll help you through the process every step of the way. You’ll have lots of support from a community of people who understand what you should be doing, not only to look better, but also to feel better.
Besides all the exercise related aspects of the program, you’ll also learn about improving your eating habits through an hour long seminar focused on nutrition. You can visit the camp’s website for additional information on this, including guides that can help you with making smart decisions and keeping the weight you lose from coming back.
There is plenty of information on the website, and before you register, you’ll be able to see everything you’ll gain and everything you need. You will have to bring a water bottle, small hand weights – which you might even get a discount on as a part of the club – an exercise mat, and running shoes. Registration is just as easy through a link on the page.

There are various benefits and claims to the acai berry diet. Many of us believe that the acai berry diet can help you to lose weight. The acai berry diet also claims to be able to help you to cleanse your body. Those who are looking for a quick detox or a quick cleanse may wind up turning to the acai berry diet.
The claim is simple. The acai berry diet is expected to help you to remove toxins from your body through a cleansing process. The acai berry diet cleansing process features two major beverages; the acai berry diet juice, and the acai berry diet cleansing juice.
The acai berry diet juice is a 100% acai berry juice that helps to get the acai into your system. The claims made by the acai berry diet companies revolve around the fact that the acai helps to do the cleansing. This is why the pure acai berry juice is very important.
The acai berry diet cleansing process finishes with a cleansing juice. This juice is commonly purchased through the company offering the acai berry diet. This juice features all natural ingredients, such as vegetables and fruits. The role of this drink is to replace what you should be getting from most foods in beverage form. Generally, a cleansing process removes many types of food and replaces them with liquids.
The acai berry diet may be a super way to cleanse the body. Unfortunately, there are no major scientific findings that help to advance the claims of the diet companies. The acai berry diet should be looked at as an alternative. While it may not work, it is healthy. It won’t hurt to try it out as a cleansing diet.

Acupuncture for weight loss is one of many things that can be used for shedding extra pounds as it works on toning the organs, improving circulation, creating balance and harmony within the body improving the functions of the organs responsible for digestion and absorption.
As well as working on the physical level, you must work on yourself. This includes making a decision you are going to loss weight and doing what ever it takes to move in the direction of your goal. Therefore creating the right mindset and taking action every day that supports your goal.
This is why acupuncture works well and supports the whole body on every level as we are operating on different planes, we have a physical body, an intellect and are spiritual beings. When i say spiritual i mean we are creative beings, we have got the ability to choose our own thoughts. Now before we go any further this must be clearly understood.
Throughout history one of the only things that the great religious leaders and the great achievers can agree on is that we become what we think about . Our results in life in any area are only an expression of our thoughts, feelings and actions. You see we are the living embodiment of the sum total of our thoughts whether we choose to accept this responsibility or not.
This is why many people fail to maintain the weight, they do diets for a few weeks then eventually there old way of thinking takes over and they are back doing exactly the same thing, getting the same results.
Have a very detailed image of the body you want in your mind eye. In your leisure time you must think of it, first thing in the morning and last thing at night you must hold the image of the you you want to create. It is hard work but thought energy is the most potent energy there is.
Using affirmations everyday such as I am so happy and grateful now that i am slim, trim healthy and feeling fantastic about my body and myself on or before December 2010. Always start an affirmation with i am so happy and grateful and say it in present tense and put a dead line on it. Saying i am so happy and grateful changes the vibration we are in, helps us focus on our image creating space to allow things to change. Saying it in the present tense creates it in the now therefore empowering it . Giving it a deadline helps us stay on track but it is only a guess, it does not have to happen on that particular time so do not be discouraged if it does not manifest.
Do steps everyday towards your goal. This may change everyday. One day it maybe going for a session of acupuncture the next day it may well be going to the gym. It should include visualizing, meditating, juicing, eating the right foods, cleansing and exercise. Always write out your tasks the night before as writing causes us to think and it helps the sub conscious mind integrate your intentions making it easier to accomplish the tasks and stay focused.
Mail this postLearning What Foods Will Help Burn Fat

If you’re eating the typical North American diet, you are probably consuming too much fat. You should not be getting more than 30% of your calories from fat. If you want to lose weight, you’ll probably need to cut the amount of fat in your diet. Do not, however, make the mistake of cutting all of the fat in your diet. Some foods will help you burn fat. Let’s examine what foods will give you the fat you need in your diet and why no-fat diets fail.
The number one reason that extreme no-fat and low fat diets fail is that people mistake low fat with healthy. Just because a snack is low in fat doesn’t mean that it is good for you.
Processed foods contain empty calories and sugars that will cause you to gain weight. Focus on eating whole foods like fruits, vegetables, and grains. These foods will give your body the nutrition it needs without the high levels of sugar and salt found in crackers and cookies.
If you are cutting down severely on fats and calories, you’re body will react by going into starvation mode. Instead of burning the fat, your body’s metabolism will slow down and it will work to store the fat that it has available. The only way you can lose fat is to feed the body what it needs.
You’ve heard before that not all fats are equal. Saturated fat can lead to heart disease and should be largely avoided. Meat and cheese is full of the fats that you don’t want in your diet. So cut down on your intake of these foods and focus on the foods that provide the essential fatty acids.
One food that is great to incorporate into your diet is the avocado. The fat in the avocado is made up primarily of mono-unsaturated fats. In addition to the healthy fats of the avocado, you are getting other nutritional benefits such as vitamins A, B, and E. Avocado’s will give your body the energy it needs during your muscle building routines. And they’re great for your immune system, skin, and hair.
Flax is another great food. Flax seed oil contains both Omega 3 and Omega 6. There are several ways you can add flax seed oil to your diet. You can also buy flax seed oil from health food stores and some grocery stores, but make sure it is kept refrigerated and keep a close eye on the expiration date. You can drink it straight or add it to smoothies if you don’t like the taste.
Ground flax seeds are another way to add this food to your diet. Whichever way you choose, be sure to not heat the flax as that destroys its beneficial properties. If you want the benefits of flax seed oil without the hassle you can purchase flax seed oil pills.
A third food that can help you burn fat by adding fat to your diet is walnuts. Walnuts contain the healthy fats and are a good source of protein. Adding a handful of walnuts to your breakfast in the morning will ensure that you have the energy you need for your day. Keep walnuts in your desk at work to provide a healthy snack.
Replacing the saturated fat with these three foods will help you lose weight and be healthy. Although you can have them daily, be sure you are not relying too much on these foods and focus on a well balanced diet.

Exercise is always a venture you undertake on your own. No one else or no machine can do it for you. That is why it’s important to stay motivated so if your are in it to lose weigh then you are going to hang around.
This is what people who are overweight should learn to understand. However, even if you have an easy to follow set of instructions, this is not the case for almost 35% of Americans who are unable to prevent being overweight.
If you are overweight you normally want to slim down for lots of reasons, some might be to better your fitness and physical condition, while others would want to enhance their physique and appearance. And it is never too late to be fit.
In the past 50 to 75 years, physical activity has become the exception rather than the rule, both at home and on the job. People tend to drive where others once walked. People prefer to flick a switch and let the machines do the hauling, lifting, pushing, and pulling for them.
However, people who are trying to lose weight seem to think weight gain will happen if they do not take forward-looking steps to stop it. hey tend to return to these ways even though they enjoy exercising. They tend to go back to their old eating habits even after they learn to enjoy low-fat eating.
Despite everything holding you back you can achieve your weight loss goals if you just find a little bit of inspiration to keep you motivated. Staying motivated is the key to success, find a good training and diet program and stay with it. If you stick at it for a full week you will begin to see some results and this will give you that motivation you need to continue with the diet plan.
Mail this postAre Weight Loss Drugs Healthy?

Recent studies have shown that more people are becoming overweight every year and this happens not only to adults but even to children who have just started school. In order to lose those excess pounds, many people resort to surgery whereas other people realize that a healthy diet with regular exercise is a better method. However, desperate people often make poor decisions and decide to take weight loss drugs as they are less expensive than surgery.
These drugs usually work buy telling the brain it’s no longer hungry, stimulating metabolism to aid the shedding of excess fat. That was all well and good until the point where more research had concluded that there was an increased risk of heart valve disease and as a consequence the drugs were withdrawn. Newer drugs were developed and started to be prescribed by physicians and dieticians, some of these drugs are currently waiting for the Federal Drug Administration go ahead.
These weight loss pills have become popular and you can almost guarantee that you will know of someone who has tried them with success. The idea that a simple drug can change your body shape without the need to change the diet or sacrificing those pleasures in life can be very tempting. The weight loss drug manufacturers have spent a huge sum on research but this cannot be compared to the amount spent by consumers.
Even with all the testing and new techniques available for manufacturers, many side effects like nausea and diarrhoea still exist with the new generation of weight control pills which, incidentally, can still be purchased over the counter. You would need to read the user information for a full list of all the possible side effects.
This is why it is so important to see the doctor before starting a course of pills. Problems like irritability, tiredness, vomiting, stomach pains and sleep problems are all common effects reported when someone stops taking these weight control pills.
Generally from the reports it would seem that the effectiveness of weight loss drugs is improved if they are combined with a regular exercise program and a low calorie diet~Despite all the bad publicity, weight loss drugs do work but they are more successful if they are used in conjunction with a low calorie diet and regular exercise, preferably using a properly worked out exercise regime. This type of diet requires a balance of the food groups to ensure a proper intake of vitamins, minerals and fibre, almost all of which can be bought at your local supermarket but may require a little preparation.
A person can jog every morning or sign up and workout in a gym but just as a person should consult a doctor before taking medicines, a doctor should also be consulted prior to undertaking any form of exercise. Of course a good exercise regime will combine exercises that increase the heart rate and exercises that use weights to tone the muscles.
