How to Learn a Foreign Language?

Some rules you must abide by: You must never ponder and delay if you want to attend foreign language courses as they are not like any other courses. If you drag your feet over any foreign language course, you can be assured of failure where you are required to put in a minimum of 3 hours weekly and 15 minutes on a daily basis. Devote any additional time in pursuing your language lessons but not more than 45 minutes per session.

Fork out your whole study material into several manageable units. If you are serious about passing the examination then attend classes regularly. Evaluate your past learning regularly for your own benefit, for example check out the vocabulary. Take these tips which are aimed to make the learning of the foreign language easier and faster.

Look up only those words which cannot even be guessed or determined based on context. Make it a routine to browse through the chapters of the textbook everyday.

Communicating: Do not be afraid of making mistakes, listen carefully to your classmates and speak up! You can start practicing the foreign language by talking to your self, talking to others who are in the same class or even with your pet dog or cat.

Noting it down: Know how to express yourself in writing everyday till it comes a part of you. Request a friend to dictate some small paragraph of the language and then find out how much of it has been written correctly.

Medley of helps: You ought to have a goal and a good reason for studying the foreign language and develop good feelings towards it. Be clear about your learning goals and the avenues you ought to take to achieve those goals. 1.f you need help get it and do not be afraid to ask questions or ask for help for fear of sounding stupid, or being embarrassed. There is nothing to feel embarrassed when you need help or have questions in your mind. 2.Get audio tapes of the language and listen to them or make you own tapes and listened to yourself in order to perfect your pronunciation. 2.To better your pronunciation, the best way is to listen to audio tapes of the language or you could record something yourself and listen. 3.Different colored flash cards can be used for building vocabulary like one set of colors for the genders and another set of colors for the different grammars like noun, verb and adjective. 4.Practice in study groups and become good friends with some of your classmates because they can help you out.
