Wherever possible you should try and use safe cleaning products around your home. Look for solutions that are natural and non-toxic. You can often use items you already have purchased to use for other purposes, and which are laying around the house or garage. With a little bit of initiative, you will be surprised what you can come up with!

There are a wide variety of safe cleaning products out there, including lemon juice, olive oil, salt, baking soda, washing soda, citrus, vinegar, borax and cornstarch. These products are all effective and safe and have no synthetic chemicals. Many of these items are in your kitchen, whilst others may be found in the laundry or utility room.

A lot of time is spent cleaning up around the home. In addition to making your home a nicer place to be, do your bit for the environment. Use only safe cleaning deposits when you work to get rid of lime deposits in the bathroom, scrub the oven, clean the carpets, work on the furniture and the many other places that need attention. You would be surprised how little money you need to spend to clean your house effectively. For example, consider the use of white vinegar, a natural antibacterial. This is one of the great safe cleaning products out there. As an example, if you find that you are short of laundry detergent, take a little bit of baking soda and mix with some white vinegar. Dilute this mixture and your problem is solved.

Safe cleaning products should be used exclusively within your home. It is perfectly possible to stock up on these natural products and never buy another commercial cleaner again.
