How To Win Online With Article Marketing

Article marketing is one of the most popular ways to enhance your search engine optimization efforts. With the introduction of article submission tools, the task of distributing your articles across the Internet is easier than ever before. There are a number of rules you should follow if you want to get the most from your article marketing.

In this article, I will give you some article writing and submission guidelines that I’ve personally used to enhance the overall impact of my submissions and guarantee that articles are placed on web pages with a high Google page rank.

The value of article marketing is that your content has a life beyond a single web page. Website owners visit many of these article aggregation websites to find relevant content for their website, blog, or newsletter. As a result, your article can continue to be published for quite some time after it is submitted and posted. The real value of article submission is when third party sites provide a link back to your website in exchange for the content you have provided.

Timely And Valuable Content Pays Dividends. When creating an article, spend more time on the planning phase than the actual writing of the article. You want to make sure that the information you provide is related to something current and of interest to your potential audience. By doing so, other website owners find true value in the content and post it to their website or blog.

Make Sure Your Article Is Long Enough. Too often I see valuable content that is only a few words short of a powerful article. Many article submission websites have a length requirement of 500 words or more. I like to meet that minimum by at least 35 words so that sites that do not count prepositions still measure more than the minimum number of words.

Create A Strong Headline. By developing a catchy headline, readers are pulled into your content and take notice. Even though your primary purpose is content distribution and building in-bound links to your web site or blog, don’t lose sight of promoting your content in a valuable way. Article submission works best when your headline requires individuals to stop and take notice. This leads to greater awareness and action among webmasters seeking content.

Submit Your Articles To Top Article Directories. In order to get the most from your article marketing efforts, find top ranked article websites using an article submission tool, software, or application that can give you an indication of a web sites age or Google PR. By doing so, you’ll be able to spend more time submitting to web sites that can provide value to your online marketing efforts.

Automate Your Process With Article Submission Software. There have been a significant number of advancements in article marketing during the last two years. It’s easy to find a number of article submission software packages that can automate or semi-automate the submission process. Although nothing can truly replace developing your own article content, article submission can be automated with the help of article marketing software and technology.

Submit Your Articles To Top Sites. Don’t waste your time submitting your article to sites that are brand new or only have a low Google PR. Find top ranked article sites using some type of article submission tool, software, or application that can give you indication of site age or Google PR. This helps you to spend your precious time submitting to websites that can truly provide value to your article marketing efforts.

Article marketing is a fantastic way to improve your websites Google ranking. With the help of distributed content and links back to your website or blog, search engines take notice and assign your website a great deal of value.

Article marketing is an important part of everyone’s SEO strategy. What’s most important is that you develop content for a specific niche or area and teach something to those who read it. Individuals wish to learn and improve upon their work. By providing something of value, your content will be shared and distributed throughout the web.

A SEM specialist will help you develop a website which can show up very highly in search engine results. There are certain techniques which you must do if you want to ensure your website shows up. You want your website to be high in the search engine rankings so that people searching for your particular topic will be able to find your website.

A search engine marketing consultant will also examine page optimization of your website. This is critical because your website will have a set of different keywords and certain keywords are used for certain pages.

Search engine marketing services companies place great emphasis on site usability. Without a site that is easy to get around, your audience will become disenchanted and exit your site quickly which is not good for your business.

After looking into your website, search engine optimization marketing focuses upon off page optimization such as link building. The final critical component component to consider is paid search engine marketing. A prominent example of this is Adwords and this allows you to put your information out to your niche audience in a quick manner.

Search Engines Explained In Basic Terms

August 24, 2009 by Justin Harrison

A search engine is a device that delivers contents to you as per your query from the World Wide Web. Search engine locates the suitable content from the plethora of information available on WWW in form of links, images and web pages. These engines are based on complex algorithms and sometimes even on human editing.

Web crawling, indexing and searching combine in that order to obtain the most accurate results. Mass amounts of information on millions of web sites are stored and then retrieved relevant to the user’s request. A web crawler is also known as a spider, it analyzes every link and indexes all information for faster retrieval.

Words found inside the pages are extracted from the description and allocated appropriate meta tags. Meta tags are also taken from contents the webpage itself to establish its relevance. Data from the sites is collected, indexed and stored to be retrieved when it’s needed.

The major search engines, such as Google amass all, or a miniature portion of the source page, or “cache”, in addition to information the web page offers. The search engine, AltaVista stores every word from every page. Storing the cache helps the search engine filter more easily because web pages are updated constantly. Google’s technique of indexing relieves the “linkrot” and allows users to be sure that the content they find in their search results will be up to date and utilizable. The cache can be helpful when obsolete information is removed. The cache allows users to find and recover information from archived sources.

Search engine users normally input a keyword or key phrase into the search field. The engine will search for their particular keyword and key phrase on the World Wide Web. The search engine index will provide an organized list of results with the best matched web pages. A short summary of each webpage describing the contents is provided along with the list.

All the search engines look to enhance their performance by ensuring that they deliver exactly what the user looks for. The problem is accentuated by the abundance of web pages containing the keyword or the keyword phrase. However, by using web crawlers and indexing, search engines manage to filter all the sites that are irrelevant to the search being made even if it has the keywords. They have created their own unique processes for examining different web pages and their contents.

Page rank is latest addition in the techniques used by search engines to sort out various web pages and their contents. Page rank decides the relevance of a particular page by studying the correlation between its meta tags, descriptions, keywords used and the content of that webpage. The search engines rank those sites high that have association with high ranked web pages. The page rank is essential for any web page or site as it determines its probability of featuring at the top of any particular search.

Finding The Best Clickbank Product To Sell Online

August 23, 2009 by Jared Lu

Choosing the right product to promote is the key to affiliate marketing success. There are thousands of affiliate products out around, but not all of them will make you money. Some products are horrible and don’t work right at all. Another product might be great, but its landing page is bad so it is not making any sales. To succeed with affiliate marketing, you need to find a product that’s proven to make money for its affiliates. Why promote something that nobody wants to buy?

To find our product, we are going to look at the Clickbank network. While there are many excellent affiliate networks out there, Clickbank is one of the best for those starting out. They have an enormous selection of affiliate marketing products to sell, they always send your checks on time, and it is easy to get accepted into the network. Unlike other networks that require you to apply to promote a certain offer, Clickbank lets you promote every offer on their network right away.

The first thing to do when choosing a product to promote, is to think about a niche. The best way to do this is to brainstorm on a piece of paper 5-10 areas you think you would be interested in. When promoting a product, you will be spending a lot of time with it, so make sure the topics are something you can have fun with.

Once you have your topics, visit the Marketplace section in your Clickbank account. Clickbank has its products separated into categories, so pick an appropriate category and do a search for each of the topics you have written down earlier. In the results, you will get a list of affiliate products that best match your search term. Below each product description, you will see a list of different metrics.

The most important thing to look at, is the product’s gravity score. Gravity is a Clickbank formula that tells you how many recent sales affiliates have been making with this product. If many people are making sales with this product then this says you can probably do well selling this product as well. Usually I try and pick a product with a gravity score over 35. The other metric to look at is the dollars per sale. If you are going to use PPC marketing to drive traffic to your product, then pick a payout greater than $30 per sale. By choosing a high enough payout, you can cover any advertising expenses and make a good profit.

Using the two metrics talked about above, write down a list of products that satisfy these criteria. Now pick the product that you would be most interested in learning about and promoting. You already recognize that other affiliates are doing well with these products, so the key here is picking the product that will keep your interest so you can promote it successfully. This is the first step to becoming a successful affiliate marketer.

Web Site Submission Services: Do They Really Work?

August 11, 2009 by Michael Fleischner

If you’re looking for short cuts to high search engine placements, you’ll be looking for a very long time. I recently worked with someone on search engine optimization and spent a good deal of time focusing on both on page optimization techniques and off page optimization. Due to a relatively simple web site, optimizing their pages was relatively easy. We soon focused on off page optimization and some techniques to quickly build links to their website.

The concept of off page optimization is really all about building up your site’s credibility. As more sites point to your website, Google analyzes the quality of those links and in turn, passes that link value to you. The more quality web sites that refer to your site, the more popular your web site becomes. All of this can be summed up as Google PR or Google Page Rank.

The very first thing to do is to evaluate a web site for the criteria that would make it easy to spider. Search engines spider need to access quality content to better classify each page on the web. After applying navigation that allows users to easily find content and search engine spiders to categorize content properly, its time to identify effective link building strategies.

A popular strategy that is used by many SEO professionals is found in directory submissions. The proper directories can provide one way links that can have a significantly positive impact on the search engine rankings for any web site or blog. For the web site I was recently working on I decided to find a submission service that would take the process of manual submission off the table. I believed that the auto submission would be as effective but require much less effort.

In as little as forty eight hours of the website being submitted through an automated submission service, rankings for particular keywords were negatively impacted and significantly. We lost anywhere from ten to thirty spots on search engine rankings. One might be able to argue that the auto submission was not detectable and therefore could not have had this effect. I disagree as there were no other factors related to SEO that we were working on at the time.

At the time, we were not focused on any other type of link building activity. Due to the immediate nature of the impact on search rankings, I’ve concluded that automated submission had a negative impact that was significant. My only hope is that its not everlasting.

My recommendation to anyone building links to their web site of blog is to simply stay away from automated services that promise results. Google and other search engines appear to be catching on and know what you’ve used an automated service to do your link building. You can still submit to directories to build quality one-way links to your web site. However, I recommend that you do so manually.

SEO Software & Website Ranking

August 11, 2009 by Ethel Clarkson

The main trick that you have to learn is how to be found on the web. We are all invisible on the web unless we take steps to attract attention to us.The web is a whole world and finding what you want is a challenge. Unlike finding a book in the library, for example, where you could use a catalog to find what you need, the Web is so huge, that no directory could do it full justice. It’s just as easy to get to the heart of China on the web as to connect to something down the block. This effectively puts the whole universe in front of you at any time and it’s too big to be easily categorized.

The search engines were developed to allow users to find whatever they want or need by providing a phrase or data that is to be searched for. This is the primary way that sites are found now. If you have a business site or a blog or any website that you would like to have noticed and visited by many people, you need to make the search engines like you so that your site comes up near the top of the search that fits your website description. For example, if you have a website about the benefits of polygamy, you want a search for polygamy to list your site as one of the first search results.

Search Engine Objectives and Tools: The goal of the search engines is to provide the best answer to what people are looking for. The content that is the most on target with the most meaningful information is what is needed. The engines want to provide this to the user. The search engine developers create complicated algorithms to try to achieve this.

The major tools that the search engines use for evaluating a page are keyword density and link quantity and quality. The words that people use to find something are called keywords. If a person wanted to know about computer security or cheap gasoline, they would enter either pair of these 2 words into the search engine. Computer security or cheap gasoline would be a keyword set. Articles that have the term computer security or cheap gasoline in them a number of times are likely to provide the needed information. This is especially true if the keyword is part of the title. The frequency of the keywords and its placement in the article is one indicator of the article’s value.

Software’s which claim that they can do so are usually scams, including chances that your site get banned from Google and other search engines. But ethical SEO tools can be of great benefit to your SEO and a huge time-saver as the right way. The same can be said about onpage optimization, link building or almost any other task SEO outdoors.

Finally, the most persuasive reason why should choose SEO software lies outside. Since YOU do not know HOW Google, for example, is ranking you on their search engine, it is important to have software, which is designed for that very purpose. Remember that search engine hits can make or break your online business, as that is one of the most significant factors in determining web traffic flow.

An Analysis of QuickBooks Online Basic Compared to QuickBooks Online Plus

August 11, 2009 by Sandor Lenner,CPA

QuickBooks Online has three levels of online accounting choices: Free, Basic, and Plus. Before making your decision to use QuickBooks Online, you have to decide between QuickBooks Online Basic and QuickBooks Online Plus. This article will analyze the differences between the two QuickBooks Online choices. Any small business accounting solution should be chosen to match the type of business you operate. There is also a free version called QuickBooks Online Simple Start, however because of it’s limited capabilities it was not considered for this analysis. Hereafter, QuickBooks Online Basic will be referred to as “BASIC” and QuickBooks Online Plus as “PLUS”. Each significant difference and brief comment regarding the functionality is discussed below.

Set forth below are the functionalities that work only with Plus:

Importing -By using Plus, you are able to import your Simple Start Edition,QuickBooks Online basic, QuickBooks Pro or Premier Edition file(s) to PLUS only. Unfortunately, this type of import capability does not work with a Mac.

Estimates – Estimates can be created and then seamlessly imported to an invoice for billing. By using estimates understandings can be mitigated.

Online Banking – With online banking, transactions downloaded into QuickBooks directly from your financial institution only in PLUS. You only have to review them instead of entering them from scratch. When you download an electronic statement, QuickBooks compares it to the transactions already in QuickBooks and identifies discrepancies. It helps you manage your cash flow, because you always know which checks have cleared your banking account, you also know how much money you have available.

Exporting – PLUS provides you with the ability to export transactions and balances to a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. I can’t begin to impress upon you how importance of this feature for further analysis of your business. It’s a very important feature, since it adds greater reporting capabilities. It gives you flexibility is to analyze different types of financial data.

Class tracking – This is very similar to business tracking which is discussed below. This feature is only available in PLUS. Classes allow you to categorize transactions by using classes. With classes you are able to categorize each detail line on a transaction. By way of example, you can write one check to the office supply supplier for items bought for two different business units while being able to track each business unit for those purchases. For example, if you have a consulting firm and an affiliate marketing business. Class tracking is ideal for you, since it common to have purchases and sales that include both types of work. By specifying the appropriate class on each detail line, you can produce a Profit & Loss by Class report that will inform you if your consulting business is more or less profitable than the affiliate marketing business.

Business tracking – You can use PLUS to categorize data from different locations, offices, regions, or outlets of your company. You can assign each transaction to each business. By assigning a business to each transaction as you enter it, you can later see businesses on reports. Assigning businesses also lets you efficiently manage groups of transactions. A great use of this would be for different rental properties.

Time tracking – This feature allows you to enter your time into a timesheet when you charge by the hour i.e. Website developers, consultants, SEO’s, freelancers, sole proprietors, etc.

Invoicing – Adding fields to track more information on transaction forms is only in PLUS. You can create your own custom fields to include on sales forms.

Reporting and Financial Statements – With BASIC you receive 40 standard financial reports. However, with PLUS you get over 65 standard financial reports and customization and formatting options. If you are interested in a very detailed analysis in a chart format of the reporting differences, please got to Intuit’s knowledge base for comparison of the QuickBooks Online Products.

Budgeting – You can use the budget feature to estimate income and expenses for future years. PLUS budgets’ use a format very similar to a spreadsheet, with a horizontal row for each of your income and expense accounts, and vertical columns for each month or quarter. This is a very rudimentary but provides a bench mark that every company should use.

1099 Reporting – The IRS requires you to issue a 1099-MISC form to workers for nonemployee compensation if the payer is a trade or business and the payments are to a noncorporate entity were $600 or more for services rendered. This feature is only in PLUS

Users-BASIC provides access for one person and your accountant (2 users). However, PLUS provides access for 3 users PLUS your accountant for a total of 4 users. Plus can be expanded to 25 users for an additional cost, which is reasonable.

Support – BASIC includes email support provided by Intuit whereas PLUS includes callback and chat support as well as email support . Obviously, PLUS support is better, but with BASIC you can still get your questions answered.

Pricing – BASIC costs $9.99 per month as compared to PLUS which retails for $34.95 per month . However, if you purchase PLUS through a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor you can purchase it for $21, which reflects a discount 40% discount, which is currently in effect at this time. Discounts and prices may vary in the future.

Summary – Generally speaking, BASIC is for smaller companies, whereas PLUS is for small to midsized companies. Before you make your decision, you can test these small business accounting solutions for 30 days for both BASIC and PLUS and decide which is best suited for your company. They are other inherent limitations when comparing BASIC and PLUS to Desktop QuickBooks i.e. Pro, Premier, etc.. By far the most significant limitation is that the Online versions do not provide inventory capabilities, unless you purchase an inventory add on. Finally, its very important to ask you CPA or accountant for help in making this important decision.

How to Make Money Online — A Tutorial

August 6, 2009 by Pedro Jeter

The economy is down the tubes right now. If you’re feeling the effects of the general wide-spread recession, then you probably are looking for some kind of way to make some money that can help you out. That’s why we’ve got this free guide to the 3 most popular ways of making money online.

There are tons of ways to earn cash online, of course. It’s a huge place, and is basically one big marketplace… but be careful before you start.

There are scams and scammers just waiting out there to prey on people. If something sounds too good to be true or you are asked for money, run the other way as fast as possible.

1. Sell Stuff, Make Money

If you are like most of us, you have probably sold something you didn’t want on Amazon or Ebay. So, you know that you can make cash that way. But selling your attic full of junk isn’t exactly enough to supplement you, is it? What some don’t realize is that you can really make a business out of it.

There are tons of products on there that you can buy dirt cheap. Find a way to get them, but a lot lot, and then find a person in the “real world” who will pay you for the stuff. Instant profit — instant business.

2. Write Words, Make Money

You can find a lot of companies that need some good writers. Are you good at reviewing products or movies? Maybe you have special knowledge about certain topics that you like to blog on? Use it for extra income!

There are simply a bunch of ways to make money online by writing. SEO firms need good cheap content, as do blogs and content networks. Just dig around.

3. Make Money Playing Games

This is probably the “coolest” way to make money online that I’ve ever heard of, and it’s actually pretty simple. Do you like playing games? If so, then you can do so by playing games like World of War Craft. If you play a lot you can make a chunk of change…while goofing off.

Open an account, play and level your character. Make a lot of gold and equip your toon with certain items and skills. Then, sell the account through a website. Repeat as much as you want to.

Last Thoughts

Everyone, at some point, needs to find a way to make money online. The important lesson to learn is that of course you can — if you work hard.

Why Use Automated Social Bookmarking?

August 6, 2009 by Lorella Bogard

It’s become the big mummer, social bookmarking sites are flooding the market. Why?… because they are becoming popular way to communicate with people of similar interests, within seconds. Not only can you reach so many people at one time, you can share your views, thoughts, articles and bookmark them all for you to share with others of a like minded nature.

There are a good number of very good SEO’s who avoid the social bookmarking scene like the plague. To them it is a time waster that would better be spent gathering higher quality backlinks. They are right. Social bookmarking is not for those who are trying to make adsense blogs, for those who want clicks on ads since the traffic you get isn’t targeted to your product like it would be in Google. What it is good for is if you are trying to build an email list, or just get overall more traffic to your website and possibly try to create a community. That is the power of social bookmarking.

What Is Social Networking: Generally it’s as it states, creating a group of people interested in the same thing, sharing and conversing with each other on a given topic. The search engines love this because the way they see it, is that if people rate an article or what ever, then it’s already popular and they index it highly… easy.

So, if you do this right, and I mean right then you can attract a lot of people to your article, video, post, blog or what ever. By creating good links and corresponding with people with the social network system, you can make a good money online. There are to many sites to mention here, but You Tube, Digg, Delious, Facebook, Twitter and StumbleUpon are some of the main ones to begin with. If you started with these sites alone, then you have a great chance of being elevated to the heights of social bookmarking, reaching a large audience.

The great thing as well with social networking is that it can create an effect of viral marketing. Your article can be passed from one person to another like a hot potato, if it’s a good one. This also means it can last the distance, so a year from now someone can read the article. You can check this out at Digg.com and see articles that have been there since 2007 still being read… pretty cool eh! So write a good article, and you could be seeing the returns from that for years to come!…

Beware- submit slowly so as not to be banned by the search engines. Some questions to ask are will this software save me time in the long run, is this software efficient or will I need a degree in how to use it, Can I try before I buy, is the price right (one off or monthly fee) and is it affordable…
